The Bustier

Simplicity doesn’t have to be boring.

When I began designing this bustier, my goal was to create something that felt as beautiful as it looked—comfortable enough to wear all day, whether paired with a bra or not. I envisioned a piece that would effortlessly blend elegance and ease, with a low-cut back to add a touch of timeless sophistication. Bridal fashion has always been a deep well of inspiration for me, with its ability to craft shapes that feel both natural and enchanting. I wanted to capture that same magic while ensuring the design could embrace a variety of body types within each size.

To bring this vision to life, I explored details like bra-style backs and tie-back closures, which not only add versatility but also make the piece feel more personal and adaptable. I also lined the bustier to provide gentle support for those who prefer to go braless, ensuring comfort without compromising on structure. And with the addition of princess darts, I was able to shape the fabric in a way that flatters and supports different breast sizes, especially when working with non-bias-cut materials.
